An experimental Bernard Moore vase 1905-1915, of globe and shaft form, with flambe and mottled panels with enamel bubbles edged in gilt, with top rim with bleu celeste Persianesque motifs, full gilt Bernard Moore mark, 24.5cm high. Professional restoration at mouth rim.
English studio pottery vase by Martin Brothers with four snakes curling over the shoulder and biting the mouthrim to form handles. Hand thrown stoneware with carved, reticulated shoulder and dark, variegated, reptilian glaze. Incised date 1899 and signature "Martin Brothers, London and Southall." 8 3/4" high. Small chip and associated hairline on one handle have been professionally restored.
Large Burmantofts jardiniere and pedestal in warm two tone yellow majolica glaze. Dramatic form. Circa 1880's. 27" high. Impressed "Burmantofts Faience." Repairs.
Rare Copeland dragon vase in Japanese style with crisply molded dragon in high relief amidst branches and clouds. Greek key border around mouth. Appears to be dated 1872 or 1873. 8" high. Small, old restoration to mouth.
Large English ironstone jardiniere in rich Imari colors. All over floral pattern. Lively shape with scalloped mouth rim, drawn neck, high articulated shoulder, splayed foot, and elaborate rococco handles. Unidentified blue mark on base, possibly Mason's? Circa 1840. 15" across handles, 12" high. Hard to see repair to one scalloped edge, as shown.
Nice pair of English Pilkington's art pottery vases of double gourd form with good crystalline glaze. Great blue color too! Pilkington's "BEE" mark, P with two bees, slightly obscured by glaze. Circa 1910. 7" high. Excellent condition.
Large hand made Dunmore pottery vase. Scotland, Circa 1880's. 13 1/2" tall. Classic baluster shape with nicely defined mouth, neck, and foot rim. Chips restored on lip and foot.
English art pottery vase by Pilkington's. Rich, red and blue gloss flambe glaze. Printed bee mark which was only used for a short period, circa 1903-14. Interesting hand thrown form with high, lobed shoulder, wide mouth, and flared foot. 10 5/8" high, 7" wide. Chip on inner foot rim.
Pair Derby bough pots with under-dishes. Fine soft-paste porcelain with handpainted enamel scenes of Italy and elaborate gilding. Circa 1815. Each pot 7 3/4" high, 6 3/4" wide. "D" and crown mark in red on all four pieces. Scenes noted "In Italy" in red on undercarriage. These were probably made as souvenirs of a "Grand Tour" possibly from paintings acquired abroad.
