French modernist art pottery pitcher/jug by renowned Vallauris ceramicist Gilbert Valentin (1928 - 2001). Valentin's studio, Les Archanges, was next door to Madoura, where Picasso worked, and contributed to the renaissance of pottery making in Vallauris during the 1950's and 60's.

French art pottery vase of classic baluster form with rich blue flambe glaze. Circa 1920. 9" high. Stamped "France" on base. Several glaze pops, otherwise excellent condition.
Large French Art pottery vase from the Art Deco period (circa 1930's). Made by The Studios of Ceramic Decoration in Boulogne-sur-Siene near Sevres owned by Andre Fau. 13" high, 10" wide. Heavily potted in light colored stoneware with an extraordinary "gilt blue soap bubble" glaze. Impressed mark: Les Ateliers du Ceramique, nf Sevres, Made in France. Condition: Excellent- some wear to gilt mouth-rim.
