| English studio pottery vase by Martin Brothers with four snakes curling over the shoulder and biting the mouthrim to form handles. Hand thrown stoneware with carved, reticulated shoulder and dark, variegated, reptilian glaze. Incised date 1899 and signature "Martin Brothers, London and Southall." 8 3/4" high. Small chip and associated hairline on one handle have been professionally restored. | |||||||||
