Wonderful full Margot de Taxco Mexican silver parure. Margot Van Voorhees Carr, was an American designer who moved to Mexcico in the 1930's. She became affectionately known as Margot de Taxco when she opened her own shop in 1948 . She was very successful and her jewelry has garnered collectors worldwide. This wonderful, fluid necklace was designed by Los Castillo. It has been in my collection for over 20 years. It is also has the matching bracelet. The necklace measures 15 3/4 inches long X7/8 wide. The bracelet is 6 1/2 inches X 7/8 across. The condition is superb on both bracelet and necklace, retaining the original patina. Bracelet and necklace fully signed Los Castillo with eagle 15. Lovely and rare.

Wonderful example of the William Spratling dragonfly pin. This pin is rendered in sterling and topped with tortoise shell wings. It has the 3rd design period mark, 1951-1967, The marks are script and the condition excellent. It measures 2 3/8X 1 3/4 inches. I have personally enjoyed wearing this pin along with it's twin smaller version, also listed. Both are shown, but only the larger applies to this listing. Mexico, 1951-1967 Classical Spratling.

This necklace is composed of tumbled clear rock crystals that are caged in beautiful sterling floral wraps. This necklace, known as Pools of Light, is circa 1900. This form of necklace was popular in China and Japan, and held the belief that all the goodness and healing qualities of the crystal are protected if left undrilled. This rare Mexican silver bracelet is designed and executed by the famed internationally recognized modernist Antonio Pineda. It has stylized swans set with deeply incised sterling and set with cabochon obsidian bodies.
