Rare Antique Scottish Agate Bracelet Circa 1850
This sterling bracelet is Scottish, circa 1850. It is perhaps one of the rarest in form, the anchor link. reminiscent of Gucci links today, this bracelet has the look of a contemporary bracelet, but is well over 150 years old.

This design is beautiful as the hollow links are superbly inlaid with a well chosen palette of agates. Each agate, indigenous to Scotland, blends seamlessly in color. Joining the anchor links are sections which were finely engraved and inlaid. The entire composition is perfection, as the skill of the silversmith, the engraver and the lapidary are all evident. The bracelet terminates with a rare padlock as I have never seen another form like it. It too is engraved.

The bracelet measures 7 5/8 inches long x 3/4 inches wide. Condition is perfect. Rare and simply wonderful, Scottish, circa 1850
