This crystal heart locket is English circa 1890. It is well designed with two rock crystals finely cut and set in bezels. The 9k pale rose gold is well rendered. The locket opens with two tiny knobs which also add a lovely detail when seen from the front. The heart measures slightly under 7/8 inches long without the bail and 1 inch inclusive of the bail. It is 7/8 inches across. While small, it is so refined, well made and distinctive. It's size makes it perfect for daily wear. It is joined with a new cord with a gold clasp. The condition is excellent. England, circa 1890 |
