The fine art of cannetille is represented in these earrings. They are early 19th century French 18k earrings designed in a classical three section motif. Each section has been rendered in spirals of gold to create a pattern. They look like bells that gently sway and are so incredibly light on the ears. They look beautiful from every angle as they were designed as a complete circle. They measure 1 1/2 inches from the top of the wire X 1/2 across the center. The condition is excellent and they retain the original rich patina. They have the original back to front ear wires and have French touch marks. Elegant and unique, French circa 1830. |
