Antique Scottish Gold and Smoky Quartz Bracelet

Striking, rare and beautiful this pale smoky quartz bracelet is Scottish, circa 1850. It is designed with alternating square and barrel shaped links. The very pale smoky quartz links are perfectly matched in color with hand made, hand engraved caps. The bracelet is set in 9k gold as is the padlock. The padlock too is a work of art, finely engraved and set with a pale moss agate. The reverse has a locket set with tiny dried pale leaves, a sentimental momento preserved for over 150 years. The padlock opens and closes securely and is the perfect accent for this understated bracelet .

The square stones are beautifully faceted, as are the barrel shaped links. Two square smoky quartz have a tiny edge chip and one gold cap has a slightly rosier hue. This is a superb example of Victorian design and although I have sold similar in agates, this is the only I have seen in all smoky quartz. This is beautiful worn alone, or with other Scottish agate bracelets.

It measures 8 1/4 inches long X 3/4 inches wide and would fit an average to larger wrist. Beautiful! Scotland, circa 1850
