This rare antique Scottish agate pin is in the form of a Scottish horn. Rendered in a patchwork of beautifully chosen agates, It is like a fine sculpture and a wonderful piece of folk art. The agates are in perfect condition, but the frame has wear commensurate with use. It has a silver patch on the side not visible when worn. The original pin stem has been replaced. All the reverse mounts are original It measures 3 1/2 inches across X 1 inch across the top. It is so lovely when worn. Scotland, circa 1860. |
