| This is a silver and cornelian hand made Danish Skonvirke brooch circa 1910. These early brooches were made during the time that the early Georg Jensen pieces were manufactured. The term Skonvirke means beautiful work. The style is naturalistic featuring flowers and leaves. The pin is signed on the back BH which is for Bernhard Hertz who was well known for this style of work. It has a mark that has the number 828 and an S for silver content. It is in excellent original condition and measures 2 inches long x 2 inches wide. | |||||||
