| These long, Victorian, dramatic earrings are English, circa 1860. They are designed with well match banded agates with a desirable dark brown, black and white combination. The agates have been hollowed, as was customary to lighten the weight of the stone and they are delightful on the ear. When worn, the stones have a mellow translucent quality, as they were not closed in gold in the backs. The bezels are substantial and the proportions graceful. The earrings are 15k and the gold retains the original patina. The gold ear wires are new. They measure almost 2 inches long from the top wire to the bottom drop x 5/8 across the widest span. They are in excellent condition and quite lovely. England, circa 1860 | ||||||||
