The chain measures 55 inches long x 1/8 inches wide. It terminates with a swivel bale that opens and joins with the fob and weighs 13.5 dwt. It too, can be used for a watch or any pendant of choice. The fob measures 2 inches in length x 7/8 across. The gold work is finely rendered and the large split ring is beautifully engraved. The fob has a milky white agate bearing an intaglio of a family crest.

It is easily worn doubled or even tripled around the neck. Condition is excellent. England, circa 1840.
