This antique 18k gold chain epitomizes the beauty of simplicity. The chain has a glorious original patina and is designed with a simple link terminating with a clever, concealed clasp. The necklace lends itself to daytime wear either with a suit, or with jeans. In the evening with a pair of earrings or a bracelet, it completes any outfit. It is just the perfect necklace, not overstated and yet distinctive. The necklace weighs a substantial 60 grams or 38 dwt. or 2.08 ounces. The chain drapes gracefully on the neck, measuring 16 inches long x 3/8 inches across each link. It is finely rendered and the condition is excellent. Victorian, circa 1900. |
