Lovely pair of circa 1920 metal miniature frames by Foster Brothers, a very well known Boston framemaker. The sight measurement is 2 1/2" x 1 3/4", 3 1/2" x 3" overall. In very good original condition, some light scattered tarnishing or pitting to the portions of metal that are under glass. Stamped "Foster Bros. Boston" on reverse of the hangers.
16 1/2" x 12" x 9" miniature chest of drawers, pieced together from scrap wood; front decorated with carved and painted wood elements. Origin and date of construction unknown (though appears to be late 19th c. with drawers replaced c. 1960); purchased from a Wisconsin estate. In fair condition; row of applied carving under the top two drawers has been damaged, and there is a break in the bottom center support. The piece, however, remains sturdy.
