Lovely pair of circa 1920 metal miniature frames by Foster Brothers, a very well known Boston framemaker. The sight measurement is 2 1/2" x 1 3/4", 3 1/2" x 3" overall. In very good original condition, some light scattered tarnishing or pitting to the portions of metal that are under glass. Stamped "Foster Bros. Boston" on reverse of the hangers.

8 3/4" Famille Rose ruby ground lidded jar decorated with scrolling floral design including lotus and peonies, with two opposing panel scenes of women in landscape; Six character Qianlong mark in underglaze blue; likely early 20th century production. Excellent condition. From the estate of a local collector.

16 1/2" x 12" x 9" miniature chest of drawers, pieced together from scrap wood; front decorated with carved and painted wood elements. Origin and date of construction unknown (though appears to be late 19th c. with drawers replaced c. 1960); purchased from a Wisconsin estate. In fair condition; row of applied carving under the top two drawers has been damaged, and there is a break in the bottom center support. The piece, however, remains sturdy. ...click for details

Excellent 42" x 13 1/2" ink and watercolor on paper depicting pair of Manchurian cranes and pine tree, by unknown Korean artist, first half of the 19th century. In very good original condition; two areas showing what appear to be repaired tears. Ivory silk matting, in circa 1940 frame. This piece is accompanied by a 1989 customs form, as well as a letter of authenticity (which perhaps includes more information on this piece as well, I am just unable to read it).
