Great 10" x 12" oil on board depicting trawler docking in a Louisiana bayou with Spanish moss laden tree to the left, by listed artist Werner Hoehn (1882-1940); excellent Southern US imagery, this piece dates to circa 1920. In very good original condition in original frame; needs a cleaning to remove grime that has accumulated over time. Partial tag on the reverse from Parrish Art Store in New Orleans.

Excellent 18" x 22" oil on canvas depicting woman with parasol strolling down a residential street with church, probably Provincetown, by May Chiswell Marshall (1875-1959), signed lower right. Undated, but circa 1940. Marshall, a native of Virginia, was a professor of art at the University South Carolina, and often painted in the Provincetown area. This is a stellar piece, and a rare offering, as Marshall's works do not often come into the marketplace.
