For about 10 years up until 2010 I have stood at this prestigious, fully vetted fair and you will see from the photos that, whilst I only took a small pitch, the standard of the stock was equal to or better than that on my site to date. Whilst this fair is still very much worth a visit, the dynamics in the oriental trade has convinced me that the internet is a better way to get direct to my end-customers in China and America rather than via the local trade. To this end, I have not renewed my stand at this fair and will be dealing almost entirely on the internet in future. I shall be using this site and ebay. This should hopefully mean that the standard of items for fixed price sale here should improve as I will not be saving my best bits for the fair. A Japanese porcelain figure of an immortal from the Kutani kilns decorated in overglaze enamels of green, yellow aubergine, turquoise and black. Dating from the late Meiji period, it stands 10 inches (25.4 cms) high. He is in very good condition with only minor wear scratches to some high points from handling.

An unusual yixing pottery stand for a teapot or vase, the freize moulded or carved with lotus pods, leaves, vines and flowers. It is partially glazed. Dating is problematic, probably C19th. maybe earlier. Maximum internal measurement within the rim is 3 1/4inches x2 1/2inches (8.3 x6.3 cms) with slightly rounded corners. It is in good condition.

A Chinese soft paste porcelain bowl well painted in undeglaze blue with a scene of lakeside pagodas. Dating from the 2nd half of the C18th., it measures 4 5/8inches (11.7 cms) across. It is in very good condition.

A very fine Japanese ginbari vase decorated with coloured enamel over engraved silver foil with plants by a stream. There are no wires, just well controlled coloured enamels. Dating from the late C19th., it stands 3 3/4inches (9.7 cms) high. There is a very small star crack. The silver base has a small dent but no corresponding damage to enamel.

A very unusual chinese porcelain water pot for the scholars table. It is decorated in undergalze red and blue in a Shonsui type style. It has a shou character in underglaze blue to the base. The glaze has shrunk in the kiln round each red dot creating a strange crazing effect between each dot. Dating from the C19th., it measure 2 3/8inches (6 cms) across. It is in good condition

A rare chinese porcelain salt decorated in underglaze blue with a floral design. The sides are pierced and the base hollow. Dating from the Kangxi period (1663-1722), it measures 3 1/2inches (8.8 cms) across. There is a chip with associated crack to the base, firing faults with extened hairlines to the body and fritting to the rim

A rare Korean iron box finely decorated with silver onlay. The top with a shou character. The sides with deer, cranes and minogame on keyfret and diaper ground. Dating from the C19th., it measures 3 5/8x 3 5/8x 2 1/8inches (9.2 x 9.2 x 5.2 cms). It is in very good condition with only VERY minor loss to the silver.

There is a smudge of enamel to the spout (original). There is wear to the gilding. It is in good condition.
