A chinese porcelain jardinaire decorated in famille rose enamels on a turquoise ground. The dense decoration suggests it may have been made for the straits market (nonya) (For similar decoration, see Ho Wing Meng's Straits Chinese Porcelain).
Dating from the late C19th., it measures 5 3/8inches (13.6 cms) across.
There chips and frits to the rim and round the base. It is in otherwise good condition.
