A pair of renaissance style candlesticks, silver over a copper body, the copper bleeding through to give an attractive patina. There are Elkington & Co marks to the base and they are numbered consecutively 414 & 415.The sconces are plated over brass.Dating from the mid C19th., they stand 5 5/8inches (14.3 cms) high. Wear to the plate has resulted in a warm silver/copper effect.
