A chinese jar or caddy made at the yixing (I-hsing) kilns from two colours of clay, the lighter making up the main central section. The lid and cover are inscribed with calligraphy and there is an incised 2 character signature inside the lid.
Dating from the C19th., it stands 3 3/4inches high.
A chinese I hsing (Yixing) pottery twin chamber tea pot crisply modelled in red clay. Dating from the mid C19th. or earlier, it stands 4.2ins high and 8.4ins from tip to tip. There is a signature inside the lid. The body of the teapot is in very good condition. The lid has chips to the inside rim and a berry finial restuck and another missing
