A rare chinese enamelled Yixing stoneware pottery cupstand decorated in coloured enamels with rocks and flowers in roundels on a deep blue ground. The back is decorated with blue enamel on the dry pottery body and the inside of the footrim with a fine crackle glaze.Dating from the C18th or C19th., it measures 4 5/8inches (11.8 cms)across.
There are areas on the rim where the glaze has fled in firing (original). There is a very small chip to the rim and a miniscule frit to the enamel at the edge of the cup well, (see photos)
