A charming figure of Hotei carrying his sack and holding a fan. It is modelled from fine white Hirado clay and painted in soft enamels and gilt.There is an impressed Mount Fuji mark to the base.
Dating from the early C20th., he stands 4 3/4inches (12.1 cms) high.
He would probably have had a bamboo pole through the hole in his hand and sack. He is in excellent condition.
A fine Japanese cloisonne koro decorated in silver wires and enamel with dragons and phoenix in lapets on a floral ground. There is an incised signature to the base. It has a gilt bronze liner.
Dating from the 2nd half of the C19th., it measures over 3 1/2inches (9.1 cms) across.
It is in very good condition. The gilding to the exposed bronze is worn. It would have had a lid.
Japanese porcelain bowl and cover covered in a flambe glaze. The base of the cover has a 4 character mark on a white ground (Kosaki Kozan?) and its interior has a "dry" ring burnt orange in the firing.
Dating from c.1900, it stands 3 1/8inches (8 cms) high.
