A beautiful boxed Japanese satsuma tea set consisting of teapot, sucrier, cream jug and 2 cups and saucer in a custom fitted pine box. Each piece is marked to the base with a two character red mark on a gilt ground.

Dating from the meiji period the teapot measures 2 7/8inches (7.3 cms) from the of spout and handle and a saucer measures 2 1/8inches (5.4 cmd) across.

There are chips to the teapot lid and one saucer. The set is in otherwise good condition.

A fine satsume koro with reticulated lid, decorated with dragons in a white slip on a ground of green stylised waves. There is the remains of the original sticker to the base.

Dating from the 2nd half of the C19th., it measures 4 1/4inches (10.8 cm) across.

The lid has been repaired. The base is in good condition.

A Japanese satsuma pottery bottle vase beautifully painted in Imperial colours with amusing figures of demons.

Dating from the 2nd half of the C19th., it stands 8 1/4inches (20.9 cm) high.

It is in very good condition with only minor wear to the rim gilding.

Dating from the early Meiji period, it stands 2 15/16 inches (6.2 cm) high.

There is restoration to the rim. It is in otherwise good condition.

Dating from the late Meiji period, it stands 6 inches (15.2 cms) high.

A charming imperial satsuma jar /vase decorated, unusually, in underglaze blue, overglaze gosu blue and red enamel and gilt with foo dogs in reserves on a scrolling ground.

Dating from the mid to late C19th., it stands 3 15/16th inches (9.9 cms) high.

It is in very good condition. The rim is flat and unglazed which suggests it may have had a lid.

A finely modelled porcelain figure of an immortal. Made at the Kutani kilns, it is decorated in subtle enamels and white slip bianco supra bianco. It weighs 1450gms. Dating from c.1900, it stands 10 inches (25.3 cms) high.

There is some very minor wear to the high points on the slip. It is in very good condition.
