A Japanese lacquer cup and saucer decorated in hiramaki-e on a red ground.There is the mark of H. Nishimura lacquer manufacturers to the base. Dating from the late Meiji / Taisho period, The cup stands 2 1/8inches high and the saucer 4 1/8inches across. It is in very good condition.

A stylish japanese lacquer cup and saucer decorated in hiramake with pine trees in a typical asymmetric style. Both pieces are signed to the base. Dating from the first half of the C20th., the cup stands 2.2ins high and the saucer 4.1ins across. They are in very good condition.
