A fine japanese porcelain vase in the form of a well bucket decorated in underglaze blue and with an 8 character signature to the base. The glaze has been wiped from the rim.
Probably dating from c.1900, it stands over 9 1/2inches (24.3 cms) high.

There is a glazed-over firing fault to the footrim and minor wear to the gilding, There is some roughness to the end edge (original, no frits)
