A rare Korean iron box finely decorated with silver onlay. The top with a shou character. The sides with deer, cranes and minogame on keyfret and diaper ground.Dating from the C19th., it measures 3 5/8x 3 5/8x 2 1/8inches (9.2 x 9.2 x 5.2 cms). It is in very good condition with only VERY minor loss to the silver.
