A porcelain tea caddy decorated in underglaze blue in the "blue onion" pattern. It is probably from the Meissen factory and bears a blue crossed sword mark to the base together with painted blue "46." and an impressed "84". It is slab built from a fine white body and the front and back are very slightly concave due to firing.Continental porcelain is not my field but I am guessing this is C19th or earlier. It stands 4 5/8inches (11.8 cms) high inc. lid. There is a large piece missing from the neck, a shell chip and the lid is damaged. I think this may be quite a rare item.

A very well potted (slab built) chinese porcelain teapot decorated in the chinese imari style. It is built from 8 slightly concave panels giving a very pleasing octagonal form.Dating from the Kangxi period (1663-1723), it measures 5 3/8inches (13.6 cms) from tips of spout and handle. There are a couple of miniscule frits to the tip of the spout. It is in excellent condition but, sadly, missing its lid. It would benefit from having a silver replacement made.
