A rare Korean iron box finely decorated with silver onlay. The top with a shou character. The sides with deer, cranes and minogame on keyfret and diaper ground. It has an owners mark to the base and inner lid.
Dating from the C19th., it measures 4x2 5/8x2 1/4inches (10.2x6.7x6 cms).
It is in very good condition with only very minor loss to the silver.
A chinese porcelain teapot decorated in famille rose enamels with butterflies to one side and birds in branches to the other. It has a 4 character Tongzhi mark in red to the base.
Possibly dating from the Tongzhi period (1862-74) or later, it measures 3 3/4inches (9.5 cms) to top of knop.
There is a small chip to the spout and some minor chips to the lid.
