SOLD 

A Chinese stoneware cup & saucer from the Yixing kilns, well potted and decorated to the exterior of the cup with different styles of calligraphy. The interior with a creamy slip glaze.

Dating from the C19th/ early C20th., the cup measures 3 inches (7.6 cms) across and the saucer 4 7/8inches (12.5 cms).

It is in very good condition. (There is an area inside the cup where the slip has run in the firing and the brown body is showing through. It is not staining.)

SOLD 

A well potted chinese porcelain bowl finely painted in famille rose enamels with a floral design. It has a 4 character Shende Tang Zhi mark in iron red to the base.

Dating from the C19th/ early C20th., it measures 4 1/2inches (11.5 cms) across.

There is a chip inside the rim, a hairline and a star crack to the base. Still a rare and beautiful object.

A chinese dish painted in underglaze blue with a kraak style design.

Dating from the Kangxi period, it measures 6 1/8inches (15.6 cms) across.

There are a couple of miniscule frits to the back of the rim. It is in very good condition.

A small porcelain teapot decorated in famille rose enamels with cockerels to each side. The is a 4 character mark to the base reading Guan Yau Nei Zao (made at the Government Kilns)

Dating from the 1st half of the C20th., it measures 4 5/8inches (11.8 cms) from tips of spout and handle..

The is a small flake under the tip of the spout. It is in otherwise good condition.

A well potedd miniature teapot from the Yixing kilns. It is of globular form and has a 4 character impressed mark to the base.

I am not sure of the date but is probably early C20th. It measures 3 7/8inches (9.8 cms) from tips of spout and handle.

It is in very good condition.

A chinese porcelain vase of ovoid form painted in underglaze blue with a prunus or hawthorne pattern on a cracked ice ground.

Dating from the Kangxi period, it stands 5 1/4inches (13.4 cms) high.

There is a 2 inch hairline running from the rim. It is in otherwise good condition. It would have had a lid.

A chinese porcelain vase of gu shape painted in underglaze blue with warriors on horseback and precious objects.

Dating from the late C19th., it stands 6 5/8inches (16.7 cms) high.

There is some minor fritting to the footrim and a miniscule flake to the rim. It is otherwise good condition. There is a small area of discolouration misfired under the glaze beneath the rim (photo 9).

Probably dating from the 1st half of the C20th., the cup measures 3 inches (7.6 cms) and the saucer 4 5/8inches (12.4 cms) across.

There is minor staining to the glaze. It is in very good condition.

Dating from the mid C18th., it measures 9 1/4inches (23.5 cms) across.

It has been broken in two and re-stuck. It has further pieces of the rim re-stuck (see photos).
