A fine Japanese moulded porcelain foliate plate decorated in the Imari style. It has a Koransha orchid mark in underglaze blue to the base. Dating from the 2nd half of the C19th., it measures 8 5/8inches (21.9 cms) across. There is some minor surface & gilding wear. It is in very good condition.

Chinese porcelain guglet, originally imported into Europe in the white and decorated, probably in Holland, in an oriental style. Dating from the C18th., it stands 9 1/2inches (24 cms) high. There is a very small chip to the footrim below where the glaze finishes. It is in very good condition.

An unusaul Chinese poprcelain water pot for the scholar's desk decorated in rouge de fer, green and black enamel and gilt with two exotic fish. Dating from the C19th. (Poss late C18th.),it measures 2 1/8inches (5.5cms) across the base. The rim gilding is worn and there is a miniscule bubble burst under the rim. It is in very good condition.

Chinese famille rose export miniature tripod planter finely painted with a flower basket.The body has faint, inscribed "anhua" decoration. Lower parts of the interior and base have been left unglazed. Dating from the late C18th., it measures over 2 1/2inches (6.5 cms) across the rim. There is wear to the rim gilding. It is in very good condition.

A Japanese card or cigarette case made of patinated iron and inlaid with silver and gold with a lake scene. There is a signature to the interior. Dating from the late Meiji / Taisho period, it measures 3 1/4inches (8.2 cms) across. There is some very minor degradation to the iron and the interior elastic in need of replacement.

Chinese porcelain pedestal dish decorated in famille rose enamels on a cafe au lait ground with bats, flowers and swastika. There is a Tongzhi mark to the base. Dating from the Tongzhi period (1862-74), it measures 5 5/8inches (14.4 cms) max. across. There is some very minor surface wear to the enamels. It is in very good condition.
