A chinese blanc de chine figure of Guanyin moulded from a fine, creamy white body probably at the dehua kilns. It is my opinion* that this piece dates from the C18th. It stands 7 1/4inches (18.2 cms) high. There is a bubble burst on her nose. The 1st & 2nd fingures of left hand are chipped as are the very tips of the fingers and thumb of the right. There is a small shell frit to the left hand side of cowl and some minor fritting at the base. This all sounds a lot but it is all very minor. *I claim no expertise in dating blanc de chine which I find difficult. This is my true opinion only.
