A fine Fukagawa porcelain bowl and cover decorated in underglaze blue, red enamel and gilt with the Bamboo Grove pattern. Each piece has a Fukagawa mark to the base.
Dating from c.1900 the cover measures 5 1/4inches (13.3 cms) across.
There is minor wear to the rim gilding. It is in very good condition.
Japanese satsuma pottery koro beautifully decorated in enamels and gilt to one side with ladies at leisure and to the other with scholars and immortals. It has a gilt mark to the base.
