A quality Japanese tortoiseshell box with fine lacquer decoration. Dating from the late Meiji/ Taisho period, it measures 3 3/8inches (8.6 cms) across. It is in very good condition. There is minor loss on one mon that straddles the join between base and lid. The photographs do not do this box justice due to non-professional lighting. |
