A very unusual chinese porcelain water pot for the scholars table. It is decorated in undergalze red and blue in a Shonsui type style. It has a shou character in underglaze blue to the base. The glaze has shrunk in the kiln round each red dot creating a strange crazing effect between each dot. Dating from the C19th., it measure 2 3/8inches (6 cms) across. It is in good condition |
