A finely modelled figure of a chinese beauty with her elbows resting on a rock, a fan in her left hand and a book by her elbow. I originally assumed that this was a Shiwan figure, but it is modelled in porcelain. Probably dating from the Republic period, it stands 6 3/4inches (17.2 cms) high. It is in very good condition. |
