A chinese hand warmer made of the chinese alloy paktong ( an alloy of copper, nickel & zinc). Of octagonal form, it has a single, hinged overhead handle and a reticulated lid. Dating from the C19th., it measures 5 1/2inches (14 cms) long. The handle is slightly off-centre and the is slight bend in the inner rim. It is in good condition. |
