A finely potted and decorated porcelain well bucket painted in underglaze blue with birds over waves, the interior with flowers. There is a 10 character Hirado mark to the base. It weighs 1248gms. Probably dating from the late c19th., it measures 7 1/2inches (19.2 cms) across the top carrying handle. There is a minor frit to the top corner of one of the handles. It is in very good condition. |
