A well carved chinese wooden figure gilded over a red lacquer ground. The back is undecorated showing the softwood body. Dating from at least the C19th. and much probably earlier, it stands 7 1/4inches (18.4 cm) high. Minor losses and piece at bottom right corner re-stuck, but in generally good condition. |
