A chinese porcelain tea caddy gilded with parrots, rocks and flowers on a good coral ground, the parrots in the Pronk style. Dating from the 1st half of the C18th., it stands 4 1/2inches (11.5 cm) high. There is very little wear to the gilding. There are original blemishes to the coral ground (on one of which you can still see the original decorators fingerprints). It is in very good condition. It would have had a lid. |
