An unusual shaped chinese porcelain vase decorated in underglaze blue with auspicious buddhist symbols and lappets. Dating from the C17th (Kangxi or possibly even transitional) it stands 7 1/4inches high. There is a vertical crack to the neck and also some horizontal scratches(not cracks). There a some shallow chips to the footrim which appear to have been caused prior to firing. There is crazing to the glaze. |
