A Japanese pottery tripod tea pot decorated in enamels and gilt with figures in panels on a brocade and diaper ground. It is stoutly potted and covered in a crackled glaze typical of the Satsume workshops. Dating from the 2nd half of the C19th., it stands over 1 3/4inches high and 4 inches wide (inc spout). There is some minor wear to the gilding. |
