A fine quality satsuma ewer decorated in imperial quality enamels and raised gilding. I have seen references to similar signed Yabu Meizan. However, this one is unsigned.It has an old paper label to the base. Dating from the 2nd half of the C19th., it stands 5 1/2inches high. There is a small chip to the rim, a miniscule frit to the spout and some minor atmospheric staining. |
