An unusual Satsuma koro decorated in prominently green enamel with gosu blue, other enamels and gilt with lakeside scenes. There is a full signature to the base. Dating from the 2nd half of the C19th., it stands 3 3/8inches (9.9 cms) high with lid. The base has a barely visible glaze crack on rim. The lid is damaged and restuck (see photos). |
