An English pearlware plate with reticulated border and decorated in underglaze blue transfer with a rural scene. There is an impressed Davenport mark to the back. Dating from the 1st quarter of the C19th., it measures 7 3/4inches across. There is crazing to the glaze and some very faint staining (see photo). It is in good condition with no frits, chips or cracks. N.B. My camera overcompensates for light so some images appear darker. It is the lighter images that are the more accurate. |
