A finely carved Chinese boxwood figure of an immortal holding a double gourd. He is mounted on a mahogany stand. Whilst I have had a few of these figures in the past, I am not able to date them with confidence. My estimate is that they date from the 1st quarter of the C20th. It stands 7 inches (17.2 cms) high including stand. The figure is a little dull and stained but has no damage. The edge of the stand has suffered a small knock. |
