A fine, highly translucent Arita porcelain tea bowl decorated in red, green, yellow, aubergine and black enamels and gilt with Bijin taking tea. Dating from c.1680, it measures 2 7/8inches (7.4 cms) across. There is a little wear to the rim gilding. It is in, otherwise, very good condition. See Sothebys 22/3/90 lot 62 |
