A fine Japanese cloisonne koro decorated in silver wires and enamel with dragons and phoenix in lapets on a floral ground. There is an incised signature to the base. It has a gilt bronze liner. Dating from the 2nd half of the C19th., it measures over 3 1/2inches (9.1 cms) across. It is in very good condition. The gilding to the exposed bronze is worn. It would have had a lid. |
