A Chinese flattened globular porcelain water pot for the scholars table. It is very well decorated in underglaze blue with 6 figures in a landscape. (It is very difficult to do this justice in a phtograph as the decoration goes around the steep curve of the body.) Dating from the mid C19th., it measures 2 7/8inches (7.2 cms) across. It is in very good condition. |
