A charming figure of Hotei carrying his sack and holding a fan. It is modelled from fine white Hirado clay and painted in soft enamels and gilt.There is an impressed Mount Fuji mark to the base. Dating from the early C20th., he stands 4 3/4inches (12.1 cms) high. He would probably have had a bamboo pole through the hole in his hand and sack. He is in excellent condition. |
