This is a wonderful hand crafted sterling cuff bracelet by Esther Lewittes who began making modernist jewelry in the 1950’s and sold in such stores as Georg Jensen and Nanny’s in San Francisco. This bracelet is featured in "MODERNIST JEWELRY 1930-1960, The Wearable Art Movement", by Marbeth Schon. The cuff has very pleasing curves with an applied wire wave design. It brings to mind the ocean with etched lines forming the water and polished finish the sky. The bracelet measures 2 5/8" x 1 5/8" with an inside circumference of about 6 1/2" which includes the 1 3/8" opening, and is about 1 1/4" at the widest point. It is in excellent condition and is signed "Lewittes Hand Made Sterling".
