This is a very rare Samuel Lear sunflower majolica oyster plate. The plate has a diameter of 10" and is in excellent condition with no cracks or chips - there are two tiny restored chips on the very outer edge. The plate bears an English registry mark on the back, but the details are difficult to make out. The plate appears on page 56 of Karsnitz' book "Oyster Plates".

This is a beautiful antique Minton majolica serving dish, c. 19th Century. The dish has three rich turquoise blue wells, a gold braided handle and brown accents. The underside is cobalt blue and green and is marked "Minton" (see photo). The server is about 10 3/4" wide and stands 3 1/4" high. It is in excellent condition with no chips, cracks or repairs.

This is a lovely French majolica oyster plate dating to the late 19th Century. The plate is unsigned, but probably Orchies and is in really excellent condition with no chips, cracks or repairs. The plate has a golden brown ground with light pink and olive green accents. The asparagus are cream with purple tips. The plate has a diameter of 9 7/8" and is simply marked "63".

This is a lovely pair of Art Nouveau English majolica tiles with floral designs, c. 1900. Each tile measures approximately 6" square and the green & yellow tile is marked "England" on the back. This is a lovely pair of Art Nouveau English majolica tiles with floral designs, c. 1900. Each tile measures approximately 6" square and is marked "England" on the back. Overall condition is excellent with overall crazing on both consistent with age and some fleabites on the edges. The tile with the aqua gound has some light staining to the crazing in spots.

This is a wonderful late Victorian English majolica tile. It has a lovely rich gold border and aqua center with purple flowers. The tile measures 6 1/16" x 6 1/16" and is in excellent condition with only a few tiny glaze flakes on the rim. It is marked "England" with a backward "D" on the back.

This is a pearlware pepper pot, c. late 19thC. It is decorated with a blue slip which has three engine-turned lines to reveal the white body beneath. The pot stands 3 1/2" high and has a diameter of about 2 1/8". Condition is very good with a few tiny fleabites on the edges of the holes where the pepper comes out. The original cork is missing and there is light crazing to the glaze consistent with age.

This is a lovely English majolica pitcher with registry mark dating it to 1880. The pitcher has an unusual handle, stands 7 5/8" high ahd has a diameter of about 4 1/2" at the widest point. The pitcher is a pretty pale lavender inside and dark blue and a warm, soft brown with pink overtones on the outside. Overall condition is very good - there is a small glaze flake or shallow chip on the spout and a larger chip on the foot rim that has been painted and glazed so it does not detrac ...click for details
